2023, what a year… but what happened? Luckily we are on hand to give you a recap, obviously it’s also very bias towards Aaron Paul. What do you mean stuff happened outside of our Aaron Paul bubble? This is a dedicated (but quick) recap on 2023, the Aaron Paul edition.
JANUARY
Hair Status: Close Shaven
It all started with some Dos Hombres promotion in Texas and courtside seats at a basketball game, but the big news of this month was an out of nowhere tease for the return of Jesse Pinkman!? Having claimed Better Call Saul would be Jesse’s last screen outing, we were hit with a teaser trailer for a brand new advert featuring our favourite guy!
FEBRUARY
Hair Status: Close Shaven
A crazy month that saw the release of the Pop Corners advert, featuring not just the return of Jesse Pinkman, but also Walter White and Tuco!
We were treated to a behind the scenes feature, as well as extended press coverage with Aaron and Bryan discussing the superbowl. Keeping football in mind, there was also some promo on Dos Hombres sponsorship of the Rams, and a Dos Hombres promo appearance in Miami, making this a busy month!
MARCH
Hair Status: hidden by a hat
@aaron_paul_fc hit 20k followers in March, a fantastic milestone and we can only thank everyone for the support! In other news Aaron was continuing to do Dos Hombres promo, with Las Vagas and then Aaron’s hometown, Boise, Idaho – we saw a very happy looking guy, enjoying his homecoming! (and getting on the drums in Jesse fashion!)
APRIL
Hair Status: Mostly hidden under a cap but a video sneakily showed us continued growth!
After so much activity in February and March, it was a calmer April that revealed a candid fan taken video of Aaron enjoying the music at Coachella, his and Lauren’s spritual home. The big news was the release of the long-awaited trailer for Aaron’s episode of Black Mirror. The brief sightings only upped the expectation on what would await us later in the year!
MAY
Hair Status: Majority of the month hidden whilst working BUT serious clues of a cool character hair cut…
MIA but with very good reason, Aaron was reportedly in New Zealand for a good part of May filming a feature film called ‘ASH’ – something we can look forward to seeing more of in 2024!
JUNE
Hair Status: MOHAWK! RED ALERT!
After a barren May, but with very good reason due to working (yay!) Aaron returned to Dos Hombres duty wearing Pink for the LA Rose Day. This also proved to be a bumper month to be a fan with the release of the incredible Black Mirror episode, and a bonus appearance as ‘himself’ on It’s Always Sunny in Philidelphia, ok, not quite himself but exercising once again some comedy chops that I hope we see again soon! I’ve missed them! A fantastic appearance, in what would mark the begining of a stronger focus on his friendship with Bryan Cranston, that only seemed to become more and more cool in 2023!
JULY
Hair Status: Confirmed cool Mohawk continues beyond filming, far too exciting!
The Dos Hombres appearances continued in July with a visit to Miami (we think…) and a bonus bar tending session at Boise Airport, captured by fans! (thank you!) We were also treated to a first look at his character in ASH, sporting that cool mohawk hair (not that we’re obsessed with his hair). This month saw a surprise interview with GQ Magazine talking about things he can’t live without, a fun watch and he’s sporting really cool hair!
AUGUST
Hair Status: *sniff* no more mohawky… cut, shaven… again.
August and with the SAG AFTRA strike now stopping all work for actors and writings it was good to see Aaron join his fellow Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul castmates on the picket line. This month also saw Aaron visiting Pebble Beach car festival, as a guest of Mercedes Benz, which always means some nice looking photos appearing online! A surprise element was Aaron and Bryan turning up for a game of ping pong in LA, in aid of charity, that looked a lot of fun.
SEPTEMBER
Hair Status: Close Shaven
A month of Dos Hombres appearances in LA, San Diego and Chicago! The photos from these events always look like they are so much fun, we can only hope one day to attend one ourselves – our wish for 2024, or 2025, or 2026, we’ll keep dreaming! The epic mini golf hole in one video is worth hunting down on our instagram page!
OCTOBER
Hair Status: Growing out…. 🙂
Dos Hombres promotions in Orlando and New York kept us entertained in October. The Orlando trip included a visit to Disney, with some fun video online of Aaron and Bryan going on the Guardians of the Galaxy ride with a popular Disney parks you tuber (Jilbo happens to follow them and caught this epic video upload!). NOVEMBER
Hair Status: Still growing out…. now styled 🙂
The photo shoot of all photo shoots hit us this month, with continued amazing coverage of the fantastic bond that Aaron and Bryan share as friends. It’s always incredible to see these two together, and what they have created with Dos Hombres. Plus how they seem to now be family, with Bryan taking a more active role in Aaron’s family life, being godfather to his young son. It just makes us happy, and the FLAUNT photo shoot just looked stunning, it made November worth it. Check more of the images out on our instagram page!
Aaron also turned up on the red carpet for the GQ Awards, as well as doing a watch promo in Las Vagas in the week of the first ever Las Vegas Formula One race.
DECEMBER
Hair Status: Looking good!
Finishing the year with some more Dos Hombres promotions, in San Francisco and Las Vegas, plus some amusing promos for BevMo! – Check out their insta page to find them both! . A couple more magazine interviews about Dos Hombres and the friendship between Aaron and Bryan appeared as well, each providing us with little more tidbits of info about their friendship.
Onto 2024!
So there we have it, a very brief recap to 2023, clearing the way for what we hope to be a blessed 2024, with lots and lots more Aaron Paul, cool hair and the excitement of ASH making an appearance as a trailer, and then hopefully a 2024 release date! We naturally also wait for news on new acting roles, more Dos Hombres appearances and welcome any surprises Aaron might have up his sleeve to offer his fans.
We leave you with one thought. 2024 is the year that Jesse Pinkman (the character) turns 40, I mean, can you even imagine that? Our little Jesse all grown up! I mean, Alaska made him, right, he’s doing ok, yeah?
