The timeline of Jesse Pinkman
WARNING SPOILERS – if you view the timeline of Jesse Pinkman and haven’t yet watched Breaking Bad, or haven’t completed it yet – please click away as this timeline is Jesse’s complete story, including events from El Camino.
Below is a best guess at a timeline, the months/years are likely correct but I had to take best guesses on the actual days, in some cases they are accurate, but in others they are within the ‘window’ that production placed the episode.
It really is remarkable that the entire Breaking Bad story takes place over a period of two years, and El Camino a few days, no wonder Jesse Pinkman was as traumatised as he became!
The Pinkman family welcome their first child, a son they name Jesse Bruce Pinkman.

Waiting outside Saul Goodman's office, Jesse waits for his partner Emilio - he bums a cigerette from a lady who has just left the office, not realising she is Kim Wexler, Saul's recently divorced wife.
Jesse tumbles out of a window, in full view of Walter White as his drugs operation is being busted next door by Hank Schrader

Mr White turns up at Jesse's house, Jesse agrees to help him in exchange for Mr White not telling the DEA about him.

Mr White and Jesse have got the materials together to start cooking their first batch
Krazy-8 and Emilio force Jesse to take them to meet Mr White, they soon attack them both. Jesse is knocked out whilst Mr White poisons both men with Phosophine gas, leading to Emilio's death and Krazy-8 in pain.
On the power of the sacred coin toss, Jesse is tasked with dissolving Emilio's dead body with Hydrofluric acid. Krazy-8 is left to suffer in Jesse's basement as a prisoner until finally Mr White does the deed.
Jesse is spooked after using their crystal meth and finds himself back at his parent's house. They let him stay but the reunion doesn't last when the cleaner finds some weed, naturally thinking it belongs to Jesse his parents send him packing but Jesse covers for his kid brother Jake, who turns out to be the real owner.
Jesse has tried to resume the partnership but Mr White is adamant it was just the one time.
Until Mr White shows up at Jesse's house, and the partnership resumes.

Mr White pressures Jesse to find them a distributor. Through Skinny Pete, Jesse connects to Tuco, but their meeting ends up with Jesse in the hospital.
Mr White ropes Jesse into his plan to acquire a barrel of Methylamine. It sort of goes to plan.
After Tuco kills No-Doze, and Gonzo accidently dies trying to move his body, Tuco's paranoia is on full alert and he takes both Jesse and Mr White at gun point to his uncle's house as hostages.

Tuco grabs Jesse with the full intention of killing him before Mr White distracts him enough for Jesse to fight back. Hank then shows up, with Mr White and Jesse hiding, and kills Tuco.
Jesse allows himself to be arrested by Hank, and endures a tough interrogation that looks to get worse when Hector (Tuco's uncle) is brought in. Hector refuses to co-operate with the cops and Jesse is finally released.
Jesse's mom shows up to evict him from his house, a couple of days later she follows through and Jesse is homeless. After being rejected by all his friends, then losing all of his possions bar the clothes on his back, Jesse finds himself covered in blue crap and sleeping on the floor of the RV after breaking into the yard where it is stored. The next day Mr White reluctantly shouts Jesse some money, and then makes him breakfast after they fight.
With finances picking up, Jesse sweet talks a lady called Jane into renting him an appartment where she just happens to be his new neighbour.
Jesse hires his friends Skinny Pete, Badger and Combo to start selling the product that he and Mr White are producing.
Jesse is tasked by Mr White with recovering money and meth that was stolen from Skinny Pete. Jesse plucks up the courage and discovers a young mistreated kid, as well as the two junkies. He is then attacked then wakes up to witness a horrific death of one of the junkies. The money becomes available, and Jesse ensures the kid's safety before escaping.
Word has spread that Jesse sorted out a junkie for stealing their product, Mr White works to build on this.

Suffering from the trauma of what he witnessed, Jesse finds comfort in his neighbour Jane and things soon get serious.
When dealing with the reality of Badger being arrested for selling their product, Jesse informs Mr White about a criminal lawyer he knows - Saul Goodman.
Jesse is convinced by Mr White to spend 4 days in the desert to cook - they produce 42 pounds of meth - before they become stranded
Jesse is devastated when his friend Combo is mudered by rival drug dealers for being on their territory, a site Jesse had told him to go to on Mr White's instruction.

Depressed by the death of Combo, Jesse escapes into drugs and his girlfriend Jane finds the temptation too strong to ignore, and soon introduces Jesse to her drug of choice, heroin.
Jane and Jesse decide on one last hit after finally securing Jesse's money from Mr White, with big plans Jesse is unaware of what he's about to wake up to.
Having desperately tried to revive Jane, Jesse calls Mr White who in turn calls Saul Goodman who sends Mike Ehrmantraut to Jesse's appartment to get rid of anything that might get Jesse in trouble when the law turns up to investigate Jane's death.

Mr White, with Mike's help discovers Jesse wasted in a crack house. He rescues him and puts him into rehab after Jesse breaks down thinking that he killed Jane.

Mr White picks Jesse up upon leaving rehab and let's him sleep at his new apartment.

Discovering that his parents have been renovating his old house, Jesse asks Saul Goodman to help him and buys it back at a ridiculously reduced price.

In his depression over Jane's death, Jesse is devastated when her voicemail finally stops working and he can no longer hear her voice.
With Mr White out of the business, Jesse decides to put the RV back into action and cook up his own batch of Mr White's recipe.
Jesse meets Mr White at the school and informs him that he's cooked his own batch, and wants to offer it to Gus Fring. Mr White refuses to connect him to Gus, and tells him he is not allowed to cook his recipe, and that his product is inferior.
After Hank connects Jesse to the RV, Jesse unknowingly leads Hank to it's location before Mr White has a chance to destroy it. Nearly caught by Hank, Mr White manages to steer Hank away leaving the coast clear for the RV to finally be destroyed and all links to them gone.
Furious as being tricked, Hank turns up at Jesse's house and beats him unconscious, needing urgent medical treatment.
Mr White needs Jesse to drop charges against Hank for the attack, and Jesse finds himself in the superlab to work with Mr White again after Gus agrees to him replacing Gale.
Jesse finally kills a fly that's been bugging Mr White for hours - Mr White says he's sorry for Jane's death, and later warns Jesse that he can't protect him from Gus if he's caught skimming meth.
Deciding to try to sell meth to recovering addicts, Jesse instead finds himself becoming romantically involved with Andrea Cantilo, a young mom with a small child.
Jesse discovers that it was Andrea's younger brother who fired the fatel shot that killed Combo and identifies the man who gave those orders.
Jesse finds himself in front of Gus Fring who orders him to make peace with the rival dealers, who in turn agree to no longer use children for their deals
Jesse is horrified to discover Andrea's kid brother has been murdered, his body riddled with bullets and plans to avenge the kid's death.
Mr White runs over the two rival dealers, killing them both, just before they were to open fire on Jesse, who in turn planned to try and kill them in revenge for Tomas Cantalio's death.
With both Mike and Gus Fring seeking Jesse for the death of the two dealers, Jesse goes into hiding. Mr White fears his days are numbered as relations with Gus become tense with their search for Jesse, and he knows he has to take drastic action and tries to get Jesse to agree to help.
Jesse is forced to save Mr White by killing Gale before being found nearby by Victor. Gus Fring confronts both Jesse and Mr White but in the end mistakes made by Victor leads to Gus slicing his throat open.

Jesse wreaked by guilt decides to escape into drugs and non-stop open house parties, with little care for any consequences.
Concerns growing for Jesse's mental state, Gus formulates a plan to see if Jesse can be prized away from under Mr White's shadow.
Mike is prepared to stake out a meth house to find clues to a missing product stolen after another truck raid, but Jesse shows how well he knows meth addicts by speeding up the process to recover the stolen goods and uncover a clear message for Gus.
With Jesse coming into contact with Gus on a more regular basis, Mr White asks him to kill Gus at the next opportunity and supplies him with a small container of ricin.
Jesse watches a man being shot in front of him at the chicken farm, and is nearly a target himself as the cartel up their game to get Gus's attention.
Despite a few opportunities to do so, Jesse ultimately changes his mind about killing Gus leading to Walt bugging his car to discover the truth, whilst Jesse is begging Mr White to help him after being asked by Gus to cook the product to solve the problem with the cartel, Mr White refuses due to the betrayal he sees and the two fight in Jesse's house. The fight ends when Jesse tells Mr White to get out of his house and never come back.
Jesse unwittingly becomes the property of the cartel after successfully cooking meth to the same standards as Mr White, helping Gus to fulfil his murderous plan in Mexico to destroy the cartel once and for all. Both Gus and Mike are incapacitated during the altercation leaving Jesse to get them the medical help they desperately need.
On their return from Mexico, Gus, with Jesse, goes to visit Hector to relay the news of his family's decline in Mexico. Mr White works out that Jesse is back, having figured someone else is cooking in the superlab but Jesse refuses to speak to him, and Mr White realises that he's lost Jesse to Gus Fring. Gus Fring fires Mr White, threatens his family, leaving Mr White frantically trying to find a way to disappear.
Jesse learns that Brock has been poisoned and blames Mr White when he becomes convinced the kid has taken the ricin, after he's unable to find it. He goes to Mr White's house intending to kill him, instead Mr White convinces him it was in fact Gus who poisoned Brock, as he has previous with using kids to get his own way. Jesse comes around to that thinking, and agrees to help Mr White kill Gus instead.
Whilst working with Mr White to enact the plan to kill Gus, Jesse is picked up by the police for questioning about his knowledge of ricin and why he beleived it had been used. On his release Gus's men drag Jesse off the street and knock him out, so he can be forced to continue to produce crystal meth in the superlab.
Mr White turns up at the superlab to free Jesse, informing him that Gus is dead and they now need to destroy all evidence of the meth operation. Later than day Jesse learns that Brock wasn't poisoned by ricin but by a plant named Lily of the Valley, he feels guity for the accusations he threw but Mr White convinces him that Gus had to go, and they call a truce, partners again.
Mike furiously returns from his rehabilitation in Mexico but reluctantly parters with Jesse and Mr White to destroy the final piece of evidence that could link the three of them to Gus's empire. Jesse comes up with the plan with his ideas for magnets.
After all of Gus's henchmen are arrested and imprisoned, Mike finds all their money is now siezes and needs to work with Mr White and Jesse to start building up funds again. They buy a fumigation company, to front their brand new meth manufacturing company. After they make and sell their first batch, using Mike's old contacts, Mr White is angered that Mike is swallowing up the profit to pay for his men's silence in prison, Jesse tries to keep the peace.
Having learned of a train carrying methylamine across the state, Mr White, Jesse and new recruit Todd successfully siphon the liquid after causing the train to stop for just a the right amoung of time. Whilst celebrating their success a young boy happens upon them, and before anyone can stop him, Todd shoots the boy dead leaving Jesse distraught.
Mike and Jesse tell Mr White they are quitting the meth business, and have arranged for a buyer to take the methylamine. Mr White refuses to sell his share and the deal falls through. Later Mr White offers Declan a counter offer, buying Mike out of the business and he becomes the distributer of the blue meth. Mr White tries to convince Jesse to stay, but he refuses, tells him to keep the blood money and walks away, leaving Todd to become Mr White's new lab partner.
It's been a few months when Mr White suddenly appears to give Jesse $5million, having learned that all of Mike's men had been killed Jesse is convinced he's next. He wants nothing to do with the money and tries to get Saul Goodman to give it away to the family of Mike and the boy who was killed by Todd.

After Mr White returns the money to Jesse, Jesse confronts Mr White to tell him he know's Mike is dead and that he doesn't want the blood money. Mr White tries to convince Jesse that Mike just went away, but it falls on deaf ears. Later, Jesse is found in a playground, having thrown most of his money away in the streets, and picked up by the cops to be questioned about the money.
Jesse learns that Mr White's secret is finally out and that Hank now knows he's Heisenberg. Jesse can't bring himself to rat, and remains silent with Saul Goodman coming to his rescue reminding Hank that he owed Jesse for not pressing charges before.
Saul Goodman brings Jesse to the desert to meet with Mr White, and after some words where Jesse finally stands up to Mr White's true intentions, Saul Goodman begins to arrange Jesse's extraction to a new life.
As Jesse prepares to depart for his new life, Heull lifts some weed from his pocket and on realising that fact Jesse figures it all out and storms into Saul Goodman's office to attack him for answers. Saul reveals that Mr White made him do what he did, and ultimately Jesse realises it was Mr White who poisoned Brock. Getting high, Jesse races to Mr White's house and begins to douse it with gasoline, and is about to drop a lighter when Hank asks him to help him finally catch Walter White.
Jesse videotapes his confession for Hank, witnessed by Gomez in Hank's house. Hank wants to arrest Walter White before it becomes common knowledge that his brother-in-law was Heisenberg all along.
Hank tries to force Jesse to meet with Mr White, but at the last moment Jesse changes his mind and instead phones him, with eyes on him, to threaten him. Angered by changing the plan, Jesse convinces Hank his plan is better, and will trap Mr White once and fall all.
Jesse convinces Mr White that he has found the money, and is about to burn it when in fact it's a trick and Mr White instead leads Hank, Gomez and Jesse to the exact spot where the money is buried, enabling Hank to catch him red-handed. Jesse recognises the site as To'hajiilee where they first cooked, and watches as Hank finally arrests Mr White.
Jesse watches in horror as an armed gang open fires on both Hank and Gomez, killing Gomez immediately before they round on Hank and eventually kill him too. They find all the money and offer Mr White one barrel, but angered by the killings, Mr White sets the gang's sights on Jesse who is easily captured but before they can put a bullet in his brain Todd points out that they don't know what he told Hank about them. Mr White agress to letting the gang take Jesse away for interrogation, but before they do he tells Jesse that he watched Jane die, and could have saved her, but didn't.
After beating the confession out of Jesse, then finding the tape in Marie's house, Todd pursuades the gang to keep Jesse prisoner instead of killing him so he can make the meth that Lydia is demanding. They chain him up in the lab, and threaten him with a recent photo of Andrea and Brock if he tried anything.

After Jesse tries to escape, and fails, he's driven straight to Andrea's house and watches in horror as Todd shoots her in the head. From that moment on, Jesse makes no further attempts to escape and becomes a slave to the gang, making meth in chains.
Now fully committed to his life as a slave, Jesse is surprised when Todd takes him on a trip into town to visit his apartment. Once there Jesse realises there's a dead woman in the kitchen, Todd's cleaner, and is asked to him him remove the body and bury it in no man's land. Jesse has an opportunity to escape, a good one, but ultimately is unable to break the hold Todd has over him and doesn't take his chance.
Jesse comes face to face with Mr White when he is brought to the club house, and finds himself pushed to the floor as a hail of bullets kills the gang one by one. Seeing Todd surive the cull, Jesse successfully strangles his captor before grabbing a gun and aiming it at Mr White. When he sees that Mr White is hit, and likely dying already, Jesse opts to just let him bleed out and escapes in Todd's El Camino, crashing through the gates of the compound screaming.
After arriving in the early hours, Jesse eats the majority of Skinny's kitchen before falling into a slumber. Next morning he is kitted out with new clothes, having shaved his head and cleaned up, and embarks on a plan to get the police off of his tail. Once clear of the police, Jesse returns to Todd's apartment to find the money he needs to start a new life, only for some fake cops to show up, they split the cash that Jesse eventually finds.
After finding out he is short of $1800, Jesse tricks his parents into leaving their house so he can take the guns. He then finds out where the fake cops are holding a party, at Kandy Welding, the company Jesse knew too well from his captivity with the chains he wore daily. He confronts the guys, and they challenge him to a dual, that Jesse ultimately wins killing the two guys, but letting the others go but not before taking their licences to keep them quiet. He blows the building up to cover his final tracks.

As Mike once suggested, Jesse finds himself in Alaska with a new identity. Now known as Mr Driscoll, he gives Ed a letter for Brock, before getting into his new SUV and driving away to hopefully a quieter less eventful life.
